Discovering history at the Archeon
You might not immediately think of visiting a museum with your dog, but at the open-air museum Archeon, the gates are wide open for you and your furry friend. Archeon is definitely worth a visit if you want to learn more about the history of the Netherlands. You’ll find reconstructions of various types of buildings from prehistory to Roman times, and from the Viking Age to the Middle Ages. Feeling hungry? With the Roman Tavern Trajana and the pancake house Het Klooster, there’s something for everyone.

Getting a breath of fresh air at the dog beach in Naaldwijk.
If you want to give your dog space to run around freely, there’s nothing better than a refreshing walk along the beach and through the dunes. At the dog beach in Noordwijk, there are several areas where your four-legged friend can roam off-leash all year round, including the front part of the dunes. In other parts of the beach in Noordwijk, dogs are either not allowed or must be kept on a leash, so make sure to check beforehand where you can and cannot go.
